We are now accepting entries for the October antiques and collector’s sale, the closing date is 7th October.

We can accept consignments at the saleroom Mondays to Wednesday 9am to 1pm or afternoons by appointment. If you require a valuation bring your items along on Tuesday’s between 10am and 3pm.

Demands are currently high for postcards, medals, watches, gold coins, Asian art, weaponry, tinplate and diecast toys, model railway, marine items, fountain pens, good antiques and works of art.

This catalogue will be posted online by 7th October.

50 A large bronze sculpture the Dancing Faun of Pompei, after the antique, portrayed in ecstatic dance, with hands raised, with an oak and acorn wreath around his horned head, his tail issuing behind him. The original Dancing Faun was discovered in the atrium of the subsequently named 'House of Faun' in Pompeii, first excavated by archaeologists in 1830. It is currently held in the collection of the Naples Archaeological Museum, Height: 82cm Width: 28cm Weight: 12.8kg. £400-500 Click to view larger size image
