| 5 | An Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring of Cartier style, size Q. In a sculptural asymmetric Art Deco design. The total weight of the diamonds is approximately 0.80-0.85ct, the total weight of the baguette cut sapphires is 0.28ct-0.30ct set in a weighty mount, naively etched ‘Platinum’ inside. Provenance from the seller "it was supplied by the jewellery firm Manchester House situated at that time in Cornwall Street, Plymouth. The ring was purchased by my father circa 1950 for his wife as a special thank you for her help in his setting up a small business after WWII.
