A 19th Century carved walnut high back arm chair with tapestry covers, height 132cm, Provenance; Robert Lenkiewicz Studio Auction, Bearnes 2008, Lot 306, 'Chairs featured prominently in Lenkiewicz' s work from an early age. His studios were always full of them and his 'Study of Chairs' became a well known screen print, for Lenkiewicz they were a haunting metaphor of the absence of a person.
