Jack Pender (1918-1998) oil on canvas, 93cm x 72cm, framed, signed on reverse and also to image, known as 'Newlyn Fisherman'. Pender was born in Mousehole, Cornwall and taught at Plymouth Art School, he also showed his work at the Newlyn and Penwith Society through the late 1940’s.

Alexander Mackenzie (1923-2002), oil on board, 'Bosulval', signed, titled and inscribed on reverse, 'price 20 guineas, address Rough Tree Cottage, Elms Close Terrace, Newlyn, March 1954', image size 17cm x 49cm. Alex Mackenzie was Head of Fine Art at Plymouth College of Art from the 1960s to the 1980s. Ben Nicholson was a major influence. He also knew John Wells, Barbara Hepworth and other major St Ives painters well. He had numerous exhibitions in museums from Cornwall to New York.
