Rolex Sells for £3,200

Mrs N from Plympton took advantage of our online valuation service and sent to us various images of watches that she was interested to know the value of. One of the watches was an early 1960s gentleman’s Rolex, stainless Steel Oyster which was valued at £500-£700 based on the images supplied.

Mrs N decided to bring the watch to the auction and on closer inspection, the condition of the Rolex was far better than originally thought, and so it was consigned to our watch auction on the 9^th December. It was catalogued it, professionally photographed it and promoted it through our online auction and social media channels.

Immediately it was spotted by several specialist collectors and the bidding soared at the auction, with competition from London, online and telephone bidders with the final winning bid at £3,200 much to the delight of the owner and the collector.
