From Mousehole To London To Plymouth

We are delighted to handle the sale of a fine and rare painting by Mousehole born artist Jack Pender (1918 - 1998). Pender went to the Penzance School of Art and was a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists and also the Penwith Society of Arts. He exhibited regularly in St Ives, Plymouth and London, and his artwork can be found in several public collections.

This good size oil on canvas painting, 130cm x 104cm, is signed and dated 1979 and simply titled 'Three Punts'. It is very typical of Pender.

It was the lead painting in the 1990 Belgrave Gallery, London Exhibition, and now the London owner has decided to consign it to our 27th September Art Auction.

It comes with an estimate of £4,000 to £6,000 (Lot 99).

We also sold 'Newlyn Fisherman' by Jack Pender in June 2021 for £5,600.
