Classic photographs of the ‘bright young things’ of the 1920s-30s and local artworks will be coming up for auction at a very special sale in Plymouth on the 5th of December. An archive of work has been consigned to sale by the Plymouth Art Cinema! Plymouth Arts Cinema (PAC) is Plymouth’s only independent cinema, established since 1947. It moved to Arts University Plymouth’s main campus in early 2019. PAC screens a variety of films, from world cinema to mainstream releases, including occasional classics. The cinema hosts talks by renowned filmmakers like Ben Wheatley, Mark Jenkin, Roger Deakins, and Mia Bays. It offers a broad range of events and screenings for all audiences, including Bringing in Baby for new parents and relaxed screenings for people living with dementia. PAC welcomes people of all ages to develop a passion for cinema.
