A dazzling collection of jewellery is coming up for sale at an evening auction in Plymouth next week. Some 175 selected lots including engagement rings, fancy bracelets, earrings and many beautiful brooches have been expertly catalogued and appraised by valuer Tracey Still at Plymouth Auction Rooms. Tracey has selected five rings that bring “a splash of colour to the sale”.
First up is Lot 48, is an ornate platinum Art Deco style ring set centrally with an oval cut emerald and further enhanced by a mixture of different cut emeralds and round brilliant cut diamonds. “It’s a real eye catcher”, fitting finger size N, with bids opening at £1500 this is expected to attract some keen interest”.
Next, Lot 53, a rare and pretty Edwardian gold ornate flower design necklace set with old cut diamonds and emeralds, the perfect piece for any special event, estimated at £2,000.
Lot 75, is one of the headline lots of the sale. An impressive 17 carat tanzanite ring with a price of guide of £6000 to £7000. Tracey says “the colour is so vibrant and the bright diamond border frames the stone beautifully”.
Next up is Lot 81 and yellow is the colour of the gold in the elegant Victorian wreath brooch set with eight seed pearls. The sale includes several pretty brooches which make ideal statement pieces on an outfit at little cost with estimates ranging from just £50.
Finally, at good value for money is Lot 137, a pretty 9ct yellow and white gold ring set with five oval cut yellow sapphires and ten small diamonds, it will fit finger size P and at just £100 estimate should be snapped up.
