The Ralph Short Collection

Ralph Short was a keen collector of diecast models. Over the past 25 years, he has built up an incredible collection of models, ranging from the 1960s to the present day. His collection included rare Matchbox, Dinky, Corgi, and Tin Plate Models.

On his recent relocation to Plymouth, he made the decision to sell the entire collection. He had various options for how to sell the models, such as eBay or Collector Fairs, but after contacting us he realised that selling through us at auction was the most efficient method of sale.

We were instructed by Ralph to collect an entire van load of models from his storage and began promoting the collection for sale. The team spent considerable time carefully unpacking, sorting, researching, and organising them into Lots so that with our experience we were able to achieve the best possible price for him.

The auction was a great success, and Ralph was delighted that we raised over £20,000 for his collection.
