From Diamonds to Contemporary Art: Plymouth Antique Rooms Hosts Two March Sales
Plymouth Antique Rooms is gearing up for an exciting fortnight of auctions, with two evening sales scheduled in March. The first, jewellery and watches, takes place on 18th March, followed by the Spring Art Sale on 25th March. In total, the team has catalogued around 500 lots for sale over the two weeks.
Headlining the jewellery sale is a striking diamond ring. The centre diamond measures approximately 4.58 carats, surrounded by eighteen baguette-cut diamonds, all of excellent clarity and colour. The auction estimate is £20,000.
The watch section features a 2016 Rolex Day-Date 40 wristwatch in 18ct yellow gold, with a black diagonal dial and President bracelet, in virtually new condition. Expected bids are around £12,000 plus.
The Spring Art Sale offers over 250 lots, including paintings and prints by popular Westcountry artists including a large body of work by Robert Lenkiewicz and a rare Beryl Cook original painting. Also, lot 211 Rosie Cunningham off Plymouth has consigned three of her paintings including 'Flower Girl with Bird', estimated at just £100, perfect as a feature piece for a home.
For fans of naive art Arth Lawr (ABNA) – has consigned 'Halcyon Days', 2021, 48cm x 38cm. guide price ?200–?300.
