Lenkiewicz Art Collected for Auction.

October 2022. Our valuer, Paul Keen, recently visited to a seaside apartment in South Devon to view some artworks. After taking in the sea air and then walking up several flights on stairs he was greeted with two fine paintings that were laying on the floor. Instantly recognised as the work of Robert Lenkiewicz (1941-2002) and of a size and quality that would attract attention from collectors.

The owner, now downsizing, had purchased them over 20 years ago from a Devon gallery and they had been hanging in that time next to each other in the apartment. The seller always considered that the artist was watching the sitter in the opposing work so had them hung in that way. Following a valuation and the appraisal of other objects, Paul, carefully packed them and carried them both down downstairs to his car along with some other collectables.

They are now safely back at the saleroom where they have been professionally photographed and catalogued. They will headline our New Year auction of Lenkiewicz Art on 18^th January 2023 where they are expected to sell for over £15,000.
