Rare 19th Century Whistle Sells at Auction

A local lady sorting out a variety of various items brought along a box of sundry oddments of little value, however we were able to spot a small carving in the form of a dog head. Our valuer quickly identified it as a rare 19th Century whistle, which the owner never knew. It was consigned to auction and a delighted vendor was pleased to hear it sold for £160.
