It’s the final sale of the year at Plymouth Auction Rooms this week, and we are signing off the year with a showcase of lovely jewellery and collectable watches. Looking at the well-presented catalogue on our website there are many lots to tempt the bids, from ‘blingy’ diamond solitaires to fancy cluster rings, bracelets, and brooches. With estimates from just £100 upwards, there are many lots to suit all budgets and tastes. Auctioneer Paul Keen has noted some of his favourite lots, including Lot 65, a fine platinum Art Deco style marquise shaped ring set with a line of emeralds in slightly varying cuts and round brilliant cut diamonds, fitting a finer size M, it carries a guide of £1,500 to £1,800.
Attracting a lot of pre-sale interest is an impressive 18ct yellow gold designer ring by Theo Fennell, set with a central oval cabochon and faceted cut pink spinel, with a pear shaped tanzanite set to each side, finger size N to O. The estimate of £1,000 to £1,200 is expected to be surpassed (Lot 54).
In the watch section, and ready for wrapping, is Lot 200, an Omega Ladies Constellation Manhattan wristwatch in 18ct gold and stainless steel, in lovely condition and complete with all the packaging. Nearby is Lot 198, a 1999 gent’s Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust wristwatch, model number 16233, also well-kept with boxes and papers, and a guide price of £2,500 to £3,000.
