Focus on Five – Jewellery
Our Jewellery Specialist and Gemmologist, Tracey Still, has been busy cataloguing the beautiful pieces we have coming up in our Fine Jewellery Auction on the 28th July. Ahead of this fantastic auction, she has chosen five of her favourite pieces to share a bit more about as part of our new blog ‘Focus on Five’.
The first pick is this stunning diamond engagement ring. Measuring almost 4 carats in weight, the single diamond sparkling ring is of good colour and clarity and is expected to attract significant interest. It will fit a finger size L (can be sized), but deep pockets will be needed to be in the bidding as a guide price of £10,000 plus has been advised. (Lot 69)
More affordable is Lot 30, an Art Deco style 18ct gold ring set with approx. 2.25 carats of old cut diamonds, finger size U with a guide price of just £1,000.
There are also some gorgeous earrings in this auction, particularly Lot 73. A pair of 18ct white gold Art Deco style diamond drop earrings, with an estimate of £1,000 to £1,200, these could be the perfect gift for that special someone.
There is a great range of prices in this auction, so everyone can involved. For just £400 you could bid for this 18ct five stone ring set old cut sapphires diamonds (Lot 23), or more affordable is Lot 1 the 18ct yellow & white gold cluster ring set with an old cut round sapphire and diamond cluster ring at £200 – £300.
The auction will be at Plymouth Auction Rooms on Wednesday 28th July at 6 pm.
