Local Artists Art At Auction
A small collection of artwork by Devon abstraction artist, Glyn Williams will be coming under the hammer this month at Plymouth Auction Rooms.
Glynn Williams studied at the Art College in the 1960s where he was inspired by the fashion and demands for abstraction arts. He learnt about the techniques, materials, shapes and texture to combine to create these interesting abstract images.
Some of his paintings are held in private and public collections in the UK and Canada, including York University, Ontario. More locally he was a member of the Plymouth Society of Artists, and also an Associate Member of the Penwith Society.
The seven works on offer include three mixed media pieces. With such titles as ‘Autumn Colours’, a dynamic relief artwork and ‘Dominate Red’ from 2014. Estimates on these pieces range from £50 – £200.
