‘Money can’t Buy you Love,’ but it can Buy a Moment in Rock and Roll History
An exciting new collection of star-studded autographs has been consigned to Plymouth Auction Rooms. This booklet, which includes autographs of various celebrities including Cliff Richard, Robert Moore, and the members of the Beatles was owned by a previous employee of ATV in the wardrobe department in the 1960's. Her father who worked for ABPC studios (now known as Elstree Film Studios) encountered stars on a regular basis and would request they sign this booklet, with most messages being made out to his daughter 'Valerie.' It was signed by the Beatles on the 28th of April in 1963, all names of the members are included.
Auctioneer Paul Keen “we are delighted to handle another rare set of Beatles autographs. The seller, in Plymouth, has cherished this autograph book for over 60 years!”
With a previous sale of an autographed album for £5000, Plymouth Auction Rooms is no stranger to this variety of highly valuable memorabilia. An estimate of £2000-£3000 has been placed on this album for its coveted assemblage of signatures. If you are a true Beatles fanatic, make sure to place your bid for the chance to be transported back into the days of 'Beatlemania' on 23rd April.
