Beryl’s Bingo Painting

It’s not often that you see original paintings by Plymouth’s own Beryl Cook on the market. Collectors will be keen to learn about a fine oil paintings that has been consigned to the next art auction at Plymouth Auction Rooms. Titled ‘Bingo’ the scene is so typical of Beryl’s work with a humorous observation of people and almost caricature type portraits. Measuring 52cm x 29cm, the work was purchased shortly after it was painted, at the Portal Gallery in London and will be offered with the original receipt dating from 1992.

Auctioneer Paul Keen “we are always excited to handle paintings by Beryl Cook and are sure the ‘Bingo’ will attract good interest’.

It carries an estimate of £8,000 to £10,000 at the auction on 12th June. For viewing details please contact us by emailing info@plymouthauctions.co.uk or click here for more information.
