How much is your watch worth?

10th May 2021, 10am to 3pm

Over the last few years, the demand for collectable watches has really taken off. Auctioneer Paul Keen says “we have seen a real uplift in new collectors and investors across the UK and overseas bidding for luxury and rare watches. Now that the online bidding service is so efficient from viewing to shipping there is real confidence amongst watch enthusiasts”. The rate of value appreciation for some watches, particularly Rolex is quite staggering, they are the perfect investment with the benefit of owning a prestigious timepiece.

Plymouth Auction Rooms have held some exciting watch sale in recent years and are now able to relaunch their popular watch valuation event. Local expert Richard Sheppard, with over 30 years experience will be back at the saleroom in Plymouth on Monday 10th May offering free valuations. He will be pleased to appraise, without obligation to sell, all Rolex, Omega, Breitling, Patek and other luxury watches. Whether it’s an old vintage watch that’s been sat in a drawer for years, a recent inheritance or your pride and joy sports watch, now is the time to find out what’s it worth. You could be sat on a fortune!

A Plymouth gent, brought his 1960’s Rolex GMT along to show Richard and was delighted with the valuation of £10,000. However, collectors were even more delighted and the winning bid of £18,000 really underpinned the buoyancy of the market.

Richard will also value pocket watches, ladies watches and he has a particular interest in military watches.
