Peering into the bright cabinets of dazzling jewellery at the Salerooms in Plymouth, one cannot help but get excited with the choice of gems on offer. There really is something for everyone and many affordable pieces on offer. With many budgets restricted somewhat today, we have picked out pieces with guides under £500 for focus. These include Lot 35, a pair of 18ct white gold drop earrings in a flower and cluster design set with cabochon cut turquoise surrounded by small round brilliant cut diamonds. These have an estimate of £300 to £400.

A real eye catcher is Lot 87. The snake design ring set with two small round cut rubies for eyes and an oval cut emerald set to its head, bids in the region of £400 are advised for this unique piece. At just a £100 guide is Lot 55, an elegant 9ct yellow gold Art Nouveau design necklace set with two oval cut amethysts and seed pearls. A real statement piece from 100 years ago!

From snakes to spiders, we have Lot 70. A brooch set with mother of pearl and a round cut sapphire, and a guide price of just £200. Also for great value is Lot 1, a size P antique 18ct yellow gold ring set with a round cut ruby, sapphire and diamond.

Lot 68 is a pretty 18ct yellow gold chain link bracelet, set centrally with seven square cut gemstones including ruby, citrine, emerald, sapphire and amethyst, and further set with diamonds. This would brighten any outfit and be a perfect fit for the Summer.

The auction will be held on Wednesday 29th June, with public viewing on the 27th and 28th between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and the 29th between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
