Plymouth Auction Rooms Raises over £1,000 for Plymouth Samaritans!
Following last month's Antiques & Collectables Sale, which included a number of items donated to the charity, Paul Keen and his team at Plymouth Auction Rooms were able to raise £1,340.
Paul added 'It was a pleasure to support the local Samaritans team who work tirelessly to provide a service on their freephone line, 24/7 to listen to those who are feeling vulnerable".
Norman Holmes, volunteer fundraiser at Plymouth Samaritans thanked Plymouth Auction Rooms for their support in helping the charity to identify the more valuable items that were donated to Sam's Place, their Samaritans charity shop on Plymstock Broadway. In particular, the best selling items included a Plymouth Porcelain bowl, a toy leather hippo, silver napkin rings and a Fender guitar. He continued 'With Paul's help we were able to raise a significant sum of money that will support our work, particularly during the current Christmas and winter period when calls to our services increase".
